After a lot of speculation, planning, hard work and most importantly, praying, Jesus Lives is finally being released into the world. The idea of starting the team sprang from a love for gaming, and a passion for serving the LORD. In the initial stages, I dismissed the idea, I had very little faith that it would work out – mixing gaming and serving God sounded too far fetched. But then a few things happened in the course of my life, and amidst the adventures I got a burning vision of starting the team, and I started laying out the battle plans.
I did initially have barriers; I relied on feelings, instead of trusting the LORD. But God affirmed that he was with me in many ways. For one, a close friend who was hesitant about a few other issues said he’ll help out, and there are more instances of people willing to help out. I won’t mention names, but last week it was like God gave me a friend instead of me seeking for people to help out. And even more, I could go on. I just recently noticed that around 40 days were spent on the planning, designing of the website and organization of the team. I believe that God considers the period of 40 days special, as is seen in the following verses from the bible: At once the Spirit sent him [Jesus] out into the desert, and he was in the desert forty days, being tempted by Satan. He was with the wild animals, and angels attended him. [Mark 1:12-13] Moses was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights without eating bread or drinking water. And he wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant—the Ten Commandments. [Exodus 34:28] On the first day, Jonah started into the city. He proclaimed: "Forty more days and Nineveh will be overturned." [Jonah 3:4] Again, I could go on. I have written about JL, our motto, All for One & One for All and more in our About section. Last but not least, I would like to conclude with another passage from the Bible that I came upon during the events leading to the release:
And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified. What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? [Romans 8:30-32]
